ReviewFrom an article by Leah Garchik P.P.S.: On Saturday night at the Project Artaud Theater, the Paul Dresher Ensemble presented the Electro-Acoustic Band in Who's Next? The music was captivating, the creative spirit in the room joined by a loving family feeling. Among the composers whose music was played was Sam Adams, son of composer John Adams, and Gyan Riley, son of composer Terry Riley. Both dads were on hand, as well as a pantheon of Bay Area musicians and artists, including cellist Joan Jeanrenaud, pianist Sarah Cahill, Anna Murch, whose photos are in a show at the Brian Gross gallery until Nov. 1, and Naomie Kremer, just back from New York openings of two exhibitions of her work, paintings at the Hosfelt gallery and video works at the Knoedler Project Space. |
